About Us

Started in 2007, the Vancouver Gnostic Group was founded by the joint efforts of instructors from Toronto and Vancouver and is the first group of its kind in Western Canada.

Vancouver is the third-largest metropolis in Canada - a wonderfully vibrant and diverse urban area, recently named the most livable city in the world by The Economist magazine. This safe, clean, and multi-cultural city creates an environment where people from a wide range of backgrounds can come together to foster their interest in spirituality. Vancouver is filled with green spaces, built near the shores of the Georgia Strait and in the shadow of the Coast Mountains. The epic beauty of these natural surroundings provides an ideal locale for nature walks and spiritual practices of all kinds.

Weekly courses in Meditation, Dreams & Out-of-Body Experiences, Self-Discovery, Gnostic Wisdom, and more - along with regular group practices - allow an in-depth exploration of spirituality. Events are held at spacious and accessible venues in the heart of the city, such as the stunning Library Square Conference Center in downtown Vancouver.

The weekends also provide ample opportunities for outdoor exploration. Taking a walk in Stanley Park, climbing Grouse Mountain, reflecting in the Botanical Gardens - Vancouver has many options for those seeking inspiration in nature. And on Vancouver's rainy days, mantras, meditation, and numerous other practices can put the time to good use.

Centre activities also offer an opportunity for networking with likeminded individuals. Friendships often blossom around a spiritual discussion, and enjoying a hot drink after the course offers a great occasion to share experiences, encouragement, and advice.

Planning is underway to locate a permanent home for The Gnostic Movement™ in Vancouver, a place where anyone can come to find friendly company and an inspiring environment.
