Special Fundraising Appeal

This time, the Sydney Centre will be having a special dinner and movie night to contribute to the worldwide special fundraising appeal.

Next Friday in Perth, all students of the courses are invited to join us for an evening of activities, food, spiritual cinema, and good company at our April Fundraiser! All donations raised will go towards helping others far and wide in the special fundraising appeal just launched. We’ll give you a peek of how the event went, and good luck to everyone in their fundraising efforts.

The Melbourne Gnostic Centre would like to invite all students of the courses to our first fundraiser for the course round, an 'Earth Week' fundraising dinner followed by a film screening this Saturday night (24th of April). All proceeds will go to this special fundraising appeal!

Earth Week was created to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment and is celebrated in different ways by people all around the world. This is particularly relevant to Gnostics as through self knowledge and beginning to understand the nature of others we can begin to learn about the internal and external causes which effect and shape the environment around us. This is also the beginning of change! Our film screening will contrast the environmental richness of Earth and its natural cultures with some of the stark truths of the current world; leaving us with lots to reflect upon and through watching an opportunity to find peace and understanding inside ourselves.

The Montreal Center had a BBQ last night with a movie afterward.
115$ has been fundraised.

It was a movie about how to live the present moment : The peaceful Warrior.

People really appreciated their night even if the crowd was a bit small for a thursday night.

Los Angeles picnic awareness walk

Hi all,

We are planning a picnic awareness walk for the Los Angeles group. More details to come, but I'm already looking forward to the homemade food, since our regular venue doesn't allow it!

I'm really looking forward to the fundraiser being held Saturday 1st May at the Sydney Gnostic Centre. It will be so nice to share some good food amongst good people and then watch a good inspiring film, all to help raise funds for a good cause.
It is great to see the different events going on around the world and everyone pitching in to help raise funds to spread gnosis further into the world, it is a great way of giving back to help others.

We had a good fundraising event last night at the Toronto Centre.

Since Earth Day was a couple of days ago, we used this as a starting point for our event, and had a nice evening of Earthy activities....including a meaningful talk about what each of us can do to help humanity and the Earth as a whole, some delicious Earth Day cake and other refreshments, and watched some footage of the Earth from a view that you don't normally get. It was inspiring and motivating in a very unique way.

The turnout was good, and we all had a lot to talk about and reflect on by the end of the evening.

I don't know where I'd be without all the help I've gotten by doing these courses!! But I do know now how much effort goes into presenting them, and how much money it costs.

I actually considered not giving anything thinking 'oh let other people do it', but now I wonder what would happen if everyone thought that ;). So I'm happy to give to ultimately help others gain what I have through Gnosis.

I posted a blog about our rummage sale. It's such a great feeling to have all that stuff gone. I wish everyone success in their fundraising.

There was a really successful car boot/rummage sale in London recently and there a couple more coming up in the next week or two. There has been a lot of stuff donated to the centre to sell so hopefully it will be just as good if not better and can really help with this push to spread Gnosis even futher.

The London centre will do two car boot sales on the 3rd of May 2010 and on the 16th of May 2010, so that we can help this special fundraising appeal and contribute towards the spread of the Gnostic Teachings all around the world!

I was amazed when I saw the fundraising total :) It's great how quickly things progress when everyone pitches in, a few days ago the total was only up to $500!

Looking forward to the rest of the fundraising efforts in this campaign and to the next fundraiser in Melbourne. We're aiming to do an incense making workshop soon!

The details have been finalized for the First Los Angeles Awareness Walk and Picnic Fundraiser! This event will be open to students of the Introduction to Gnosis course.

Hi everyone! Los Angeles had its first fundraiser, an inspiring awareness walk followed by a delicious picnic and raised $71 for the fundraiser.

But there's more...we are pitching in $140 on top of that for a total of $211 raised!

Yesterday, the London Gnostic Center raised $122 US from our first Boot Sale of the month. Despite rainy weather, we got a chance to visit new boot territory (Wimbledon Stadium) and dig our feet deeper to how the event works. Stay tuned for our next Boot Sale in mid-May.

For the philistine world over here in north America a boot sale is not what it sounds like - they don't sell boot! lol It's a car trunk sale or a drive in sale of all kinds of stuff. Way to go everyone - I'm too far away and a newbie in any case yet what an effort you all made. Well done!
